Stephen Cole (or Steve Cole, 1971-) is an author best known for his work on Doctor Who.

Life[]

Born in rural Bedfordshire in 1971, Cole studied at the public University of East Anglia from 1989 to 1992 - graduating from the University with first class honors in literature and film studies. Cole briefly worked for BBC Radio Bedfordshire before becoming a junior assistant for BBC Children's Magazines. Three years after taking this job, Cole became Group Editor of Pre-School Magazines. It was while Group Editor that Cole wrote a series of pop-up poetry books for children and started writing Doctor Who novels for BBC Books.
