- Grant Morrison's comic The World Shapers serves as something of a sequel to this story. The Doctor encounters the Voord again at various points - most notably Paul Cornell's comic Four Doctors, the Annual short story The Fishmen of Kandalinga, and Andrew Smith's audio drama Domain of the Voord. They are mentioned in Lawrence Miles' novel Interference: The Hour of the Geek as being tied to the Remote.
