Doctor Who and the Androids of Tara is a novella written by Terrance Dicks. Published in 1980, it is an adaptation of the serial of the same name written by David Fisher (which is a rewrite of the novel The Prisoner of Zenda hastily made to take the place of Ted Lewis' contribution to Doctor Who).

  • The Doctor returns to Tara in Paul Cornell's short story The Trials of Tara. The planet is mentioned in Kate Orman and Ben Aaronovitch's novel So Vile a Sin and Jacqueline Rayner's novel The Last Dodo.
  • Peter Anghelides' audio drama Ferril's Folly shows the Doctor and Romana looking for the fourth segment of the Key to Time.
