Adelaide "Addy" Prentiss is one of the main characters of the novel One of Us is Lying. She grew up in Bayview with her mother, who was a poor influence and constantly discouraged Addy from accomplishing anything other than being beautiful. She also started dating Jake before the series begun.

Addy is indecisive and tends to rely on the people around her to make the decisions. She froze while Simon was dying, and Jake always ordered for her when they went out, even if he ordered something she didn't like. She struggled with anxiety and took medication for it until she gained enough self-confidence. She is also smarter than people think and wishes that people knew that. After her break-up with Jake and becoming a murder suspect, she begins to take more initiative, volunteering to investigate Janae and steal TJ's phone.
She is also loyal and defends the mistakes of people she cares about, although she may cave a little under pressure. While she can be self-centred and tone-deaf, she tries her best to show kindness to others, and is one of the few to reach out to Janae.

Addy broke up with Jake after Jake found out she was cheating on him. This caused Jake to get revenge on Addy by making an attempt on her life, but he was unsuccessful, instead landing in Juvenile Detention. Jake then visited Bayview High, and describing his time in Juvie as “his biggest regret in his life”. Addy watched the coverage on television with Maeve sometimes. Addy’s history’s with Jake is complicated, as you can tell.
