Never heard of it, what’s it about?

I've never heard of it, what's is it about?

I have no clue. I just found it and wanted to know if anyone recommended it

heard of it but never read it, it reached commercial acclaim at some point though<3

I started it, I didn't get very far because I didn't find the writing engaging. It's kind of Lord of the Rings-y, epic fantasy, but not quite. What I will say though is if you have heard of the TV show, DEFINITELY DO NOT watch that.

Books are amaizing, 1000% recomend if you're into a slightly older style of high fantasy (think LotR), somewhat similar in style to Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive (Sanderson actually finished the series after Jordans death). The show is also fabulous, though recently discontinued (due to budget, not disapointment).
